Golden Beach: $32.5 million of oceanfront

The address 387 Ocean Blvd sold for $32.5 million in March 2026 — the tenth-priciest US residential sale that month, according to Redfin.

This is the tenth and final stop in the series on the 10 micro-markets that concentrate sales above $30 million in Miami-Dade — the ultra-luxury map, address by address.

What Golden Beach is

Golden Beach is a town incorporated in 1929 in the northeastern corner of Miami-Dade, between the Atlantic and the Intracoastal. Fewer than 400 single-family homes — commerce and buildings are banned by law. Its own police force, a single police-guarded entrance since 1981, and 1.8 miles of private beach. Bill Gates, Tommy Hilfiger and Ricky Martin have or had addresses in town; 461 Ocean Blvd gave its name to Eric Clapton's 1974 album.

The anchor sale

A 1941 home, renovated in 2005, in Mediterranean Moorish style: 6 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, 11,599 square feet on a 41,750-square-foot lot, with 150 feet of ocean frontage. Listed at $55 million in 2024, reduced to $39 million and closed at $32.5 million in March 2026. Brokerage: Lydia Eskenazi and Jonathan Bigelman (ONE Sotheby's) for the seller; Dina Goldentayer (Douglas Elliman) for the buyer.

The town record — in context

The highest amount ever paid in Golden Beach was the assemblage of 287, 291 and 299 Ocean Blvd — about $93 million — bought by Terry Ragon, founder and CEO of InterSystems, who demolished the three homes to build a compound. It is an aggregate-value record, not a single-home sale: the distinction matters.

Why it matters for buyers

Golden Beach offers what no other town in the county offers by law: homes only, no commerce, no buildings — with a private beach and a single guarded entrance. For buyers at this level, it is one of the rarest forms of addressable privacy in Miami-Dade. The 355 Ocean Blvd estate — asking $89 million in March 2026, status to be confirmed in the Matrix — is the next chapter to watch.

Methodology: Methodology: sale (sold) prices compiled from the Miami-Dade MLS/Matrix and public records, with a $30 million cutoff. Off-market sales may not appear in the MLS.
